Stronger Together Marriage Training: April 21-22
Victory Ministry believes that the image of God consists of the Trinity; that is, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. The Trinity has always existed and has always been in perfect unity. We have been created in “our image [Genesis 1:26];” which is relational in design. In fact, our design is for intimate relationship with God and others!
However, for many of us, the discovery has been relationships can be quite messy. The idea of “Stronger Together” was generated from the experiences of couples working through their process of discovery, restoration, and reconciliation with Dr. Kevin Whisman, Licensed Psychologist.
What is Stronger Together?
Stronger Together is a one and one-half day training offered in a comfortable, group setting where couples are encouraged with teaching, sharing, and most importantly, Biblical truths. The format includes seven trainings. Intentional time is reserved between each training for couples to spend with God and reflect on how He is attempting to strengthen their relationships.
The Purpose of Stronger Together
Stronger Together was designed to help couples understand their original design, the heart of man, the heart of woman, and how God uses the unique qualities of each for His purpose of restoration and wholeness. For a couple to know who they are, they must begin to appreciate each other’s stories and the defining impact this has had on their lives together. All too often the effects of our story, and the resulting shame, leave both husband and wife hiding from life’s challenges. As they hide, they miss God’s opportunities for growth in the abundant life Jesus promises. Throughout the training sessions, each participant will be challenged to discover the core factors from their story which have contributed to daily battles.
The Goal of Stronger Together
The mission of Victory for Life, through offering Stronger Together is to engage couples with truth and love so that both husband and wife have the ability to perceive themselves as sons and daughters of The Father, as a restored and new creation. Embracing this truth will benefit couples in His overwhelming victory to fight for those He loves!
Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long. – Psalm 25:5
